Welcome
Fly fishing background: I have been in the fly fishing game since the early 1990’s. I learned to trout fish around the Yellowstone area. During that time, I became an avid enthusiast and worked my way in to the retail side of fly fishing and guiding. I moved to Spring Lake, MI, in 1997. Being a fishing soul, I pursued trout and this pursuit lead to chasing Steelhead and Salmon with a fly rod and fly. I discovered the White River on the way up to the Pere Marquette River in Baldwin. The White river hasn’t changed much in all these years. It still has large runs of Salmon in the Fall, and Steelhead in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. In the summer, the White has scenic floats for canoe, kayak, and tube enthusiasts plus great fishing for resident trout and smallmouth bass. For me, this river is a closer drive and has equal fishing opportunities to the Pere Marquette but it has managed to stay under the radar. The White river still remains as an untapped resource. I have a vision of what the river can become. I bring 14 years of fly fishing and river knowledge to this project.
